We had a great Smokey Moiunbtain Gift Show and welcome a nu7mber of new reps that could get trained there.  New England Gift Associates will be representing Monster Trendz in New England states now.  They have been servicing gift and souvenir stores since 1967 in the business and we beleive they will be a hard working and repectable addition to the team.  In the mid atlantic states, Road Runner Marketing under the guide pf John Magill will be representing us on the road and at a number of tradeshows.  They are another reputable and professional group.  I feel safe with our customers in their hands.  George Mitchell will be servicing the Bahamas, Bermuda, Cayman islands and a few other islands that our other reps have been unable to take care of.  Once again we are lucky to have a seasoned professional with many years in the business under his belt.  Last but not least, Brad Paxton will be serviciing Washington states in a way we have never been able to taker care of our folks in the region.  He's sharp and will be guiding and servicing those Northwest customers better than we can from New England.  What an exciting 2013 it will be.

I had to find the History of the mood ring today.  This is what I googled...
 The mood ring was invented in the late 1960s by Marvin Wernick when he accompanied a doctor friend to a nearby emergency. When the doctor pulled out a strip of thermotropic material to gauge the child's temperature by applying the strip directly to his forehead, jewelry designer Wernick knew he had the makings of a winning item. Wernick encapsulated ovals of the material within clear glass cameos and glass domes set in brushed gold and silver ring settings. It was irst really marketed by Joshua Reynolds who, like Pet Rock inventor Gary Dahl, was a marketing wiz (and an heir to the R.J. Reynolds fortune). The Dead announce almost twenty spring shows.  Summer tour dates are to follow soon. 
Grateful Dead tours have impacted the beaded jewelry industry tremendously in the past.  I feel the combined economic and polical conditions are aligning with the tours and woodstock's 40th anniversary to build a stong bohemian sub culture this year.

Accessories Magazine hits the stand predicting a Summer of Love for 2009.  I can't agree more.  Love beads are already on the way soon from Monster Trendz!

News of Woodstock 2009 online starts to get real. 
In 2007 rumblings and online petitions to support a new Woodstock.  Strong voices deamnd a return to the soul culture of the original Woodstock and away from the corporate clash of the last couple.  The promoters and investors will most likely take serious notes from todays supports that voice their interests in attending.  Let them hear your opinions too.  I say keep it down to earth.
